Corporate Fundraising Executive

The Role:

As The Leprosy Mission Ireland extends and strengthens its programmes, we wish to appoint a Corporate Fundraising Executive. Working closely with the Chief Executive and supporting the values, principles and practices of The Leprosy Mission Ireland, the Corporate Fundraising Executive will build, secure and maintain appropriate partnerships with businesses and individuals in the corporate sector and wider community to ensure that our work is adequately resourced.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful candidate for this position will, most likely, possess a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from an accredited college or university and a strong, proven, track record in a sales environment. A demonstrable ability to network within the business community is essential since the ability to introduce the Chief Executive to key funders is central to this role. Additionally, the successful candidate will:

  • Facilitate The Leprosy Mission Ireland in conducting an in-depth background investigation including criminal history, employment records, educational qualifications and personal references. Any offer of employment in this role will be subject to a satisfactory result of such investigation.
  • Hold a valid driver’s licence with the ability to drive a personal vehicle for business purposes.
  • Have an in-depth understanding of the Irish corporate environment.
  • Have an ability to assess, understand and align TLM Ireland’s goals with the philanthropic goals of Irish corporations.
  • Be experienced in budgeting and financial management.
  • Possess effective project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to drive projects toward successful completion.
  • Exercise strong skills in strategic planning, goal setting and goal fulfilment.
  • Be proficient in the English language with strong professional communication skills including the ability to communicate and work effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Have outstanding presentation skills together with the experience and proclivity to be an outgoing spokesperson, relationship builder and fundraiser.
  • Be able to demonstrate a record of collaboration with others – involving the accomplishment of strategic objectives.
  • Able to work independently with general instruction and minimal supervision while maintaining a team oriented approach and attitude.
  • Possess the interpersonal skills, sensitivity, and ability to professionally interact with a diverse range of people of all ages, socio-economic groups, and personality types.
  • Demonstrate the ability to effectively multi-task and coordinate between different projects and/or departments and agencies while remaining organized and solution focused.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with high expectations for professional outcomes.
  • Be proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Web Browsers and Online / Cloud applications.
  • Be capable of speedy, critical analysis and be competent in resolving quantitative, logistical, and motivational problems.
